Co-working service provider WOTSO launches podcast studio network

WOTSO has partnered with podcast production company Castco Media to deliver the podcast studios, labelled PodSpot, launching first in Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast, with more to follow in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley and Sydney.

“As remote and agile working became the norm last year we also saw a boom in podcasting with 37% of Aussies over 12 years listening to podcasts monthly and major players like Spotify investing heavily in the space,” said Dave Matthews, Founder and CEO of Castco Media.

How relevant is WOTSO’s Podspot to co-working?

“Companies of all shapes and sizes are adding a branded podcast to their marketing toolkit. The professional podcast recording studios in WOTSO’s locations makes perfect sense.”

“PodSpot studios are fully equipped with the latest RODECaster Pro recording equipment including microphones, headphones and mixers, as well as flat-screen TVs to enable interaction with remotely-located guests or to feature video content or static branding.”

“Podcasts can double as a visual medium through YouTube or IGTV, and we’re providing brands with all the tools they need to establish and grow their podcasting voice.”

Mr Matthews said the PodSpot trial was launching on the Sunshine Coast at WOTSO Sippy Downs and would soon expand to Fortitude Valley in Brisbane and Zetland in Sydney.

“Members of WOTSO’s co-working spaces will have premium access to the podcast recording studios, however, everyone is welcome to use the facilities,” he said.

“Through the power of our podcast production company, Castco Media, we’ll also be able to provide podcast launch, marketing and production services to PodSpot users.”

ASX-listed WOTSO Property (ASX:WOT) runs many co-working locations across Australia.
