Home ownership will become a reality for vulnerable people, thanks to the generosity of The Snow Foundation, which has provided Head Start Homes with a grant of $200,000 over the next two years. Head Start Homes (HSH) Founder & Managing Director, Stephen Woodlands, said the funds would go towards supporting clients on their home ownership journey.
What does this mean for home ownership mission?
“Our vision is for a safe and stable home for everyone with fair and practical pathways to home ownership. This very generous support from The Snow Foundation means we can offer more people our innovative products and services, empowering them to achieve their home ownership dreams and exit rental accommodation. We are incredibly grateful to The Snow Foundation, who are now considered one of our Platinum Partners,” Stephen said.
Snow Foundation Chief Executive Officer, Georgina Byron AM, said she looked forward to working with Head Start Homes on their shared objectives, and overcoming obstacles.
“Head Start Homes encourages and enables people in social and affordable housing to work towards owning their own home – something that many of them may never have considered possible. Already, thanks to this excellent initiative, six families have been able to purchase their own home, and the first two loan guarantees have been recycled for the next families.”
