The Reject Shop partners with DoorDash to bring same day delivery

The Reject Shop is partnering exclusively with DoorDash to offer its customers same-day delivery and pickup for the first time on a selection of low priced essential products, including grocery, snacks, petcare, garden, partyware, cleaning, toiletries and other household items.

Customers will now be able to order from 120 of The Reject Shop’s stores across Australia via The Reject Shop website and the DoorDash app, with orders delivered in as little as 45 minutes. Customers can also choose to pick up orders in-store or schedule for next-day delivery.

What other special offers are available?

To celebrate on-demand access to household items, customers within range of the 120 The Reject Shop stores across Australia can enjoy free delivery when ordering $20 or more from The Reject Shop until 8 November.

This collaboration represents DoorDash’s largest retail partnership in Australia on its marketplace and marks the first-time online delivery will be available to The Reject Shop customers.

The Reject Shop CEO, Andre Reich, said the partnership provides another channel for The Reject Shop to help Australians save money on everyday essential items in a convenient and reliable way.

“The prices we offer our customers online will match the low prices we offer in store and our products will be available on-demand with everyday low delivery fees,” he said.

“The DoorDash partnership allows The Reject Shop to trial an online offering quicker than we planned and with minimal capital investment.

It is a customer centric offering that provides new and existing customers with a choice around how they wish to shop with us, which has become increasingly important this year. Listening and learning from our customers helps us drive better outcomes for them,” Mr Reich said.

“We are also excited that the collaboration provides The Reject Shop team with the opportunity to learn from DoorDash’s experience working with some of the largest U.S. retail brands,” Mr Reich said.

How does the partnership work?

Customers can order The Reject Shop for delivery or pickup by visiting The Reject Shop website, where they’ll find an online ordering button to access their nearest store through DoorDash, or through DoorDash.com.

This new online ordering service for businesses, called DoorDash Weblinks, is for merchants that would prefer to have DoorDash manage their digital ordering experience by redirecting their customers who visit their website to DoorDash.

“Same-day delivery brings the convenience of in-store shopping home for customers,” said Chase Gardner, Head of Enterprise Partnerships at DoorDash.

“We’re excited to bring this capability to The Reject Shop so they can serve the whole country with the home essentials they need, available on- demand at unbeatable prices.

“Now more than ever, customers are craving a more convenient, satisfying and safe way to shop, and we’re honoured to partner exclusively with The Reject Shop to delight customers with delivery from their stores for the first time, while supporting the local economies we serve.”

The Reject Shop and DoorDash are working to expand the number of stores that offer online same- day delivery with South Australia coming online from mid-November.
