TBWA Melbourne, with their spot The Ocean Is Filthy creatives were the deserved winners of the 2021 SKIPPYS competition beating off another three agencies in the process.
The competition saw four of Australia’s top agencies vigorously fight it out for the top prize.
The assignment at hand was demanding the competing agencies to make the most memorable and compelling YouTube ad for the Australian environmental start-up Zero Co.
TBWA Melbourne edged out CHE Proximity, Tinkerbell and DDB Sydney to take the top prize.
Five years later, The Skippys competition allows creative and innovative agencies to experiment with new ways of keeping eyeballs on ads and effective marketing.

This year’s assignment was demanding the participating agencies to create a captivating Video Action ad of up to 1 minute in length to help boost the start-up, Zero Co.
The winner was crowned based on YouTube’s metric of ad recall and clicks to Zero Co’s website. TBWA’s ad delivered an incredible 90% lift in ad recall, past the benchmark of 15%.
