Specsavers ANZ has promoted three of its most senior marketeers following significant brand growth and exceptional talent performance. Jane Hoban, Shaun Briggs and Dario Garma take on expanded leadership responsibilities as part of the ongoing growth of the marketing team.
What do the marketeers bring to the new roles?
Jane Hoban
Jane Hoban (formerly Director of Marketing for Australia and New Zealand) has been promoted to Trading Director ANZ in recognition of her outstanding performance leading growth, customer acquisition and retention in a constantly changing market.
After four years at Specsavers and 20 years leading marketing at global brands such as Unilever, T2 and the Body Shop, Jane is ideally placed to take on the challenges of this role.
Shaun Briggs
Within Jane’s team and in recognition of the scope of individuals’ contribution to growth over the past year, Shaun Briggs and Dario Garma are also taking on new roles. Shaun Briggs (formerly Head of Marketing Planning) steps into the role of Director of Marketing Planning responsible for the direction and leadership of all marketing activities for Specsavers ANZ.
Shaun’s promotion merges the leadership of Specsavers media, PR, planning and creative teams with a unified strategy to continue to build brand and deliver outstanding campaign results. His experience on agency-side including as MD of Initiative, GM of Dentsu Mitchell and client leadership positions at Mediacom will be invaluable as he steps up to this new role.
Dario Garma
Dario Garma (formerly Head of Customer Engagement, E-Commerce and Strategic Partnerships) is promoted to the role of Director of Customer Engagement. In the role, Dario Garma will be responsible for driving business growth through the ideation, development, and execution of the end-to-end customer engagement strategy for Australia and New Zealand.
Working in customer engagement roles at Specsavers for the past 15 years, Dario is a lynchpin of the Specsavers senior marketing team, the category and the discipline. Shaun and Dario will join Jane in the ANZ Leadership Group. The positions are effective immediately.
