SolarWinds, a global provider of simple, powerful, and secure IT management software, announced the recent appointment of two new senior executives: Aten Lim as managing director, Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ), and Sara Kao as marketing director, APJ.
What is the industry expertise of the appointees?
In the newly formed role as the managing director of SolarWinds APJ, Lim will be driving business strategy to attain the next phase of growth and expand the firm’s footprint in APJ.
Prior, Lim was the regional COO of greater China and global vice president at SAP®. He also held leadership positions in industry-recognised companies like NCS Group, Lenovo®, and Hewlett-Packard®, where he guided the companies to achieve stellar sales performances.

As the new APJ marketing director, Kao will be setting the pace for the company’s regional marketing efforts. With more than 17 years of unmatched marketing and business development experience, Kao previously led the Prisma Cloud Marketing, JAPAC, team at Palo Alto Networks® and the global alliances marketing team at Google Cloud™.

The duo will chart the region’s sales and marketing strategies to fortify the firm’s market leadership for IT operations management (ITOM) software in APJ. Their hire reinforces the firm’s commitment to strengthening business activities, partnerships, and support in APJ.
