Aussie retailers Kmart and Country Road launch Slyp Smart Receipts

Slyp, the Aussie fintech transforming the post-purchase customer experience, announced that Aussie retail giants Kmart and Country Road, have joined the likes of JD Sports, General Pants, Tony Bianco, Cue, Converse and hundreds of national retailers in offering customers itemised Smart Receipts automatically sent to their bank app, just in time for the holidays.

What does this mean for Kmart and Country Road?

The offering will see both Kmart and Country Road deliver Slyp Smart Receipts to thousands of customers across their collective 390+ stores nationwide from today. Slyp Smart Receipts is the latest customer experience offering from two of Australia’s most loved retailers.

Priding themselves on customer-centric products and experiences, Kmart and Country Road are industry leaders who have led the charge when it comes to introducing new technology to their customers striving to create seamless online and offline experiences.

Slyp Smart Receipts are available to clients who make purchases in their NAB banking app, with further payment partners including banks due to roll out the feature in the coming months. Instead of losing paper receipts in the midst of the holiday season wrapping paper, Smart Receipts give shoppers a fully itemised and tax compliant receipt that helps them make quick returns for those duplicate presents, and get a centralised view of their spending.

Why is this a timely partnership?

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Slyp, Paul Weingarth said: “We are incredibly excited to be launching Slyp Smart Receipts with two of Australia’s most recognised and loved brands – Kmart & Country Road. Our vision is to make the checkout and entire shopping experience even more frictionless and seamless than before – we’re excited to be able to offer this to millions of Aussies from today just in time for the busy shopping season.”

“We know that selecting gifts for the holidays can be stressful – Smart Receipts will allow clients to have the peace of mind that should they need to make a return or exchange, they can do this seamlessly, plus find their favourite products directly in their banking app.”

Lil Velis-Bowker, Chief Customer Officer at Kmart commented: “At Kmart, we’re always looking for ways to improve and enhance our customers’ in-store shopping experience. Slyp Smart Receipts will allow our customers to process returns more easily but also have a history of their purchases at Kmart so they can re-purchase their favourite products.”

“In particular at Christmas – the busiest time of year for us all – we hope the introduction of Slyp will make the lives of our customers a little easier and importantly, helps the environment by reducing our future reliance on printed receipts,” said Lil Velis-Bowker.

Matt Jones, Head of Digital for Country Road and Trenery, said: “It’s our goal to ensure that every customer’s experience is exceptional, and that’s especially important over the holidays when stores are at their busiest. The season can be stressful enough without worrying that you’ve misplaced your receipt when you’ve bought the wrong style, size, or colour.”

“Slyp is removing that barrier and helping our customers shop with confidence, organising their Country Road and Trenery receipts in one convenient location,” said Matt Jones.

Slyp Smart Receipts are now available in all Kmart, Country Road, and Trenery stores across Australia. For more information and store locations please visit the website here.
