Neo4j®, the graph database and analytics firm, has appointed Perum Peruri, the Republic of Indonesia’s Bank Notes and Certificate Printing Public Company, as a distributor to deliver Neo4j’s unique graph technology solutions pivotal for organisations to gain valuable insights, manage complex and rapidly-changing demands and power mission-critical applications.
Why did Neo4j pick Perum Peruri to deliver its solutions?
Under the agreement, the state-owned security-printing company will work closely with Neo4j on a combined go-to-market strategy to increase Neo4j’s footprint in Indonesia.
Perum Peruri has expanded its reach over the years to become a trusted ICT partner, sealing key wins with government entities and securing a variety of external partnerships with market-leading industry players, from technology and finance to manufacturing. The organisation believes that an increasing number of Indonesian firms are turning to graph data technology to find hidden relationships and patterns across billions of data connections.
Graph technology adoption continues to accelerate in Indonesia as organisations seek better ways to track and visualise data lineages and quickly identify and solve challenges of any size and scale. According to Gartner, graph technologies will be used in 80% of data and analytics innovations by 2025, up from 10% in 2021, to facilitate rapid decision-making in companies.
As Indonesia pursues its goal to bring ASEAN closer to a single regional digital community, graph tech will be a powerful tool in breaking down barriers and unlocking new capabilities and opportunities to boost Indonesia’s competitiveness and achieve its economic goals outlined in the Digital Indonesia Road Map by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.

“As a state-owned company that provides secure digital technology solutions, we serve a multitude of customers, especially government departments such as the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the Ministry of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform and many others – all of whom have critical demands,” commented Farah F Rahmayanti, Head of Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Digital, Perum Peruri.
“We decided to partner with Neo4j as we see a strong potential to expand our reach to target new customers and work closely with other state-owned enterprises and agencies by offering the best graph data and analytics solution in the market,” said Farah F Rahmayanti.
What does the partnership mean for Neo4j?
The latest partnership signifies Neo4j’s growing commitment to Indonesia. In 2022, Neo4j partnered with IYKRA, one of Indonesia’s leading AI and data knowledge provider, to deliver free AI training to support Indonesia’s Emas 2045 vision to become a developed nation.
Participants get Neo4j AuraDB Free training to become a certified graph database engineer, mentoring from IYKRA data experts, and work on real-life projects. Neo4j also launched the Graphs4ID initiative, in collaboration with KORIKA, Indonesia’s Artificial Intelligence Industry Research and Innovation Collaboration, to foster tech talent and leverage Neo4j’s graph data platform as the foundation for the National AI Blueprint towards the govt’s 2045 vision.
Commenting on the partnership, Reza Pahlevi, Managing Director, Neo4j Indonesia, said, “Neo4j continues to push the limits of graph technology to enable more industries to solve modern data problems. Our partnership will empower Perum Peruri and its network to unlock richer insights and make more accurate analysis and predictions with their existing data.”

“With Neo4j’s revolutionary scalability, Indonesian organisations can easily accommodate application changes without disrupting existing functionality, allowing them to continuously upgrade their services and stay ahead of the competition,” Reza Pahlevi further commented.
What is market expertise of Neo4j in the region?
Leading banks in the region, such as DBS Bank and Standard Chartered Bank, rely on Neo4j’s solutions to drive better customer experiences and fight fraud. The company’s innovative offerings are used by 75 percent of the Fortune 100 and over 250,000 data developers, data scientists, and architects across hundreds of Fortune 500 companies, NGOs, and more.

Neo4j also extended its partnership with Google Cloud launching a new native integration with Google Cloud’s BigQuery cloud data warehouse, strategic acqui-hire of 11 full-time specialists from Distributed Technology Associates, which was a major expansion of Neo4j’s global cloud managed services capability and Neo4j Graph Data Science analytics and ML platform’s double-digit growth in 2022 after the company crossed $100m in ARR in 2021.
