Harbourfront Wealth Management (HFWM or Harbourfront) announced the appointment of Ryan Ackers as Vice President of Business Development to the Canadian independent wealth management firm. Ryan Ackers joins Harbourfront from GBL where he led Business Development for Western Canada, Canada’s largest provider of IPPs and RCAs.
What is Ackers’ industry expertise?
While at GBL, Mr. Ackers oversaw B2B and B2C strategy and grew sales to over 200% YOY. Prior to GBL, Mr. Ackers held senior executive roles at Leadevest and Randstad Canada.
Responsible for the launch of the Fortune 500 company’s first Finance and Accounting Group for Western Canada, Ackers received the Elite Award for #1 revenue. With over 20 years of industry expertise, Ackers will lead the acquisition of advisor teams with a planning focus and oversees the transition process to ensure it is smooth for advisors and their clients.

What are Ackers’ thoughts on the new role?
