Personal finance marketplace Compare Club announced Eayl Machlis as its new General Manager of General Insurance and Banking. With over 20 years’ combined corporate and entrepreneurial experience, Machlis is an expert in insurance and banking. He will spearhead Compare Club’s scaling of its key insurance verticals and its credit cards vertical, focusing on extending and broadening the range of credit cards available within the Compare Club space.
What does Machlis bring to his role at Compare Club?
A curated industry leader, Eayl Machlis has held leadership positions at Coles, Suncorp and Commonwealth Bank of Australia, focusing on delivery, growth, sales and strategy, before co-Founding Thunder Insurance, a millennial and gaming focused insurance entity.
At Compare Club, he will assume the responsibilities of General Manager and will be charged with the company’s car insurance, credit card, personal loans and car loans verticals. He will also lead the development of brand new verticals set to launch later in 2023 and beyond.
“It’s an exciting time to join Compare Club. I felt closely aligned with the values of the firm and its agile and dynamic way of working. I very much believe that anyone can make a better financial decision if they are informed on their options. This is a belief that Compare Club prioritises, and it is my goal to continue to grow towards this objective,” said Machlis.
“The company has boasted some impressive wins of late, including the acquisition of Lifelong Insurance Solutions as part of its trajectory to have $100 million of life insurance premiums under management, and 400% YoY growth of its home loans division. I aspire to continue Compare Club’s significant year-on-year growth and look forward to the year ahead.”
