Vertiv, a provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, announced Vai Le as associate channel director for Australia and New Zealand. Heading up strategic direction across Vertiv’s IT, mechanical and electrical, and distribution divisions, Le will be responsible for building on existing alliances and creating awareness across the A/NZ channel ecosystem.
Velodyne Lidar, Inc. announced an agreement to provide its lidar sensors to GreenValley International for handheld, mobile and UAV 3D mapping solutions, including in GPS-denied environments. Velodyne is already shipping sensors to GreenValley as part of this agreement. GreenValley International uses Velodyne’s innovative Puck lidar sensors to provide perception and navigation capabilities that enable their systems to utilize SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping) in their mobile mapping solutions. The ability to scan without GPS by using lidar allows foresters, archaeologists, civil engineers and surveyors to build robust datasets without preparations ahead of time or complex post-processing software.
Sabre Corporation, a software and tech provider powering the travel industry, announced a partnership with Girls Who Code (GWC), an international non-profit dedicated to closing the gender gap in tech and changing the image of what a programmer looks like and does. Sabre's sponsorship will help empower a generation of change-makers by supporting Girls Who Code after school clubs for 3rd to 12th graders, which seek to educate, engage and connect girls with technology in their communities. At the collegiate-level, the GWC alumni program helps women develop skills, build confidence, and connect with women in tech.
