ePac Flexible Packaging unveils its $10m Australian manufacturing plant

ePac Flexible Packaging (ePac) celebrated the grand opening of its first Aussie manufacturing facility in Melbourne’s industrial district, Coburg North. The $10m investment is projected to create 40 jobs and up to 160 jobs by 2026, offering a boost to the Australian economy. As an industry leader in digital print tech, ePac delivers fast, cost-effective, flexible packaging to local businesses, earning them a spot next to big brands on supermarket shelves.

Brand Jamaica predicted to leverage opportunities for manufacturers

Brand Jamaica will be highlighted at the 126th staging of Penn Relays, which will be held from April 28-30, 2022, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Five Jamaican manufacturers, Annilu Ltd, Herboo, King’s Jamaican Health and Wellness, Bresheh, and Shavuot International, will chat with buyers and retailers to promote their products thus increase Jamaica’s export sales. The trade mission is taking place as part of the export development programme Export Max III, which is led by JAMPRO, the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC), and the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA). The event will highlight the island’s diverse manufacturing sector, and the products that are available for export.

Ampcontrol acquired by WHSP to influence Australian manufacturing

Ampcontrol, an Austalia electrical engineering firm, has announced the agreement with Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Company Limited (WHSP) to acquire 100% shareholding. The deal comes as Ampcontrol accelerates its strategy to be at the forefront of developing and supplying advanced tech, products, and services to the resources, infrastructure, and energy sectors that enable a competitive advantage in a net-zero carbon environment.

Eaton’s Vehicle Group and eMobility to further expand footprint in Europe

Power management company Eaton announced its Vehicle Group and eMobility businesses are continuing their expansion into Europe, a rich region in EV tech, with the establishment of a new office and research center in Karlsruhe, Germany. This expansion will complement existing engineering and manufacturing sites in Montrottier, France, and Tczew, Poland. The new office in Karlsruhe will serve as a base for customer interaction and engineering service for Eaton’s Vehicle Group and eMobility customers in the region. The facility will include a new laboratory that enables rapid turnaround in testing Eaton’s latest eMobility products.

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. announced that Arturo Nuñez has been elected to its Board of Directors and that he has also joined the company’s Audit Committee. Mr. Nuñez is Chief Marketing Officer of Nu Holdings Ltd. (“Nubank”), which is a digital banking platform headquartered in Brazil that serves customers across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia.
