ISG announces 2023 finalists for its annual ISG ANZ Paragon Awards

Information Services Group (ISG), a global tech research and advisory firm, announced the finalists for the 2023 ISG Paragon Awards™ ANZ, which recognize innovative approaches that help enterprises leverage technology to make a lasting impact on their businesses. A total of 57 nominations were submitted for the annual ANZ program. Winners in each category will be selected by a panel of industry experts and announced at a gala awards dinner on March 2, 2023, at the Fullerton Hotel Sydney.

The Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA), an organization dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in journalism, announced that the SOPA 2023 Awards for Editorial Excellence are open for entries. The deadline for submissions is 3pm Hong Kong time on February 16, 2023. The SOPA Awards for Editorial Excellence are celebrating their 25th anniversary next year. The awards span 21 categories and are divided into three groups according to language and size of the publication: Global and Regional, both in English language, and Chinese language.

AWS now receiving applications for the Clean Energy Accelerator 3.0

Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced the launch and call for applications for the Clean Energy Accelerator 3.0, a high-pace, non-equity dilutive accelerator designed to facilitate partnerships with mature startups developing breakthrough clean energy technologies. The opening of the Clean Energy Accelerator was announced by Kara Hurst, Vice President of Worldwide Sustainability at Amazon, during a session at the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, on November 10. Inaugurated in 2021, the accelerator was AWS’s first accelerator program focused on fostering innovation and rapid growth of clean energy tech, which is needed to address the global climate crisis.

Shane Warne and Ron Clarke added to the Sport Australia Hall of Fame

Two of Australia’s late great sportsmen, cricket great Shane Warne AO and champion distance runner Ron Clarke AO MBE have been elevated to Legend status in the nation’s most prestigious sporting club, the Sport Australia Hall of Fame. Warne, who was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 2009 as an athlete Member, he popularised the art of leg-spin bowling like no other person before him taking a fantastic 708 wickets from his 145 Tests.

IAB Australia and OMA collaborate to host Powering DOOH 2023 program

IAB Australia and the Outdoor Media Association (OMA) are collaborating to curate Powering DOOH 2023.  The one-day conference which will be held on 30 March 2023, will present practical content and high-level and strategic planning sessions around Programmatic OOH. Programmatic buying of OOH enhances any campaigns reach, targeting audiences engaged in the real world. Programmatic DOOH delivers highly visible campaigns at scale, reaching audiences in a receptive mindset. The OMA reports that Out of Home (OOH) revenue has rebounded in Q3 2022 to near pre-pandemic levels. Digital OOH revenue accounts for 62.5% of total revenue, having grown rapidly over the last five years from just 47.3% in 2017.

Inaugural Future Technology Program to address supply chain problems

FIS challenges startups to pitch bold ideas in first APAC fintech competition
