Australia Post is calling for nominations to find its 2022 Local Business Heroes, with around $285,000 set to go towards helping local small businesses who demonstrate unique and valued connections to their community.

Ally Kelly has been awarded with the Outstanding Achievement Award, which is presented by Suicide Prevention Australia as part of the LiFE awards 2021.

IAB has announced that MeasureUp, the only measurement focused conference in Australia, will return for its 6th year on 25th October and is seeking submissions for presentations, panel discussions and workshops on topics including cross-media audience and advertising measurement, brand building, attention economy and sustainable measurement techniques. 

MetLife is hosting a virtual hackathon in October, as it seeks top tech talent to join the firm in one of its fast growing regions. “Hack4Job Coding Challenge – Kuala Lumpur” on Oct 14-16 will pit teams from across the world in a race to build innovative solutions and win prizes. At the end of the hackathon, qualifying participants will be invited to interview for a range of software development and cloud engineering roles in MetLife and its affiliates. MetLife is targeting dozens of roles, including infrastructure engineers, solutions architects, scrum masters and full stack engineers, as part a broader push into Malaysia and the Asian region.

Two in-depth research reports have recently been released, focused on the HR and Learning and Development (L&D) sectors, with findings set to influence the behaviour of decision makers in the space. Themes that emerged from the research were used to build the agenda for the upcoming HR + L&D Innovation & Tech Fest 2022, two major industry conferences hosted concurrently that are set to bring together over 1,000 HR and L&D professionals.
