Aussie drone tech company, Aerologix, has completed a $4.2m funding round led by Ellerston Capital and Lindsay Phillips' Nightingale Partners who followed on from their earlier pre-seed funding round. Aerologix will use the capital to invest in additional research and development, bolstering its commercial team and supporting the company’s expansion internationally.
Cyberhawk has signed an agreement with Shamal Technologies to transform the way major construction projects are managed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Shamal Technologies is a geospatial company that delivers end-to-end data acquisition, visualization and analytics solutions that can reduce operational risk. The company is the first in Saudi Arabia to develop solutions that integrate artificial intelligence technology with unmanned systems.
Swoop Aero, the Aussie drone-powered logistics firm, has obtained approval from Australia’s Civil Aviation and Safety Authority (CASA) to operate their drone logistics Remote Operations Centre (ROC), allowing them to pilot up to five aircraft across three continents beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS). Pilots can operate their drones beyond the physical view of the aircraft. Announced at the AWS Summit 2022 in Sydney, the CASA-approved ROC will permit Swoop Aero to operate like an airliner, centralising resources in one facility for visibility and network operations efficiency globally. The ROC can allow Swoop Aero to scale up operations with much higher ratios of remote pilots to remotely piloted aircraft (30 aircraft to one pilot).
AutoGrid, a player in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven optimization for distributed energy resources (DERs), announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation. The transaction between the two is subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions and is expected to close in Q3, 2022. The acquisition will provide AutoGrid with the resources and global reach to accelerate its growth and pace of product innovation.

HMT´s palladium membrane technology separates hydrogen from bio and natural gas. The organisation has developed a technology where clean hydrogen is produced from bio and natural gas, while CO2 and other residual gases are captured to be utilized or sequestered. The HMT palladium membrane technology leverages more than 20 years of research from SINTEF, and it has been extensively tested and piloted over several years.
World View, the stratospheric ballooning and space tourism company, has reached a new milestone: reaching 1000 reservations for its space tourism program taking participants to the edge of space in a zero-pressure stratospheric balloon and pressurized space capsule. The company has now sold the greatest number of seats in the space tourism category. World View’s reservations for Spaceport Grand Canyon have also been sold out for the first year, with commercial flights slated to begin in 2024. World View’s reservations come from 32 countries with the US, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom leading the list.
