Valio and Atria were the first in Finland to test Bovaer®, a feed additive made by the Dutch company DSM. The additive has proved to reduce methane emissions produced by cows by 30%. The additive has generated promising results in trials in Europe and North America. During the 12-week test period, 400 cows at three different Valio dairy farms received feed containing the Bovaer® additive. Bovaer® received permission to be marketed in the EU.
Avanade announced the launch of its new Engineering Hub in Adelaide, signaling the firm’s increased investment in South Australia. Focused on rapid delivery of Microsoft technology solutions, the Adelaide Engineering Hub is the first of its kind for Avanade in Australia and has already created 50 jobs, with plans to double this number over the next 12 months.
