Forescout discloses OT:ICEFALL 56 exposures found in multiple devices

Forescout’s Vedere Labs, along with CISA’s vulnerability disclosure process, is disclosing OT:ICEFALL, 56 vulnerabilities affecting devices from 10 OT (operational tech) vendors. This is one of the largest vulnerability disclosures that impact OT devices and addresses insecure-by-design vulnerabilities. It has been ten years since Project Basecamp, a research project by Digital Bond, who investigated how critical OT devices and protocols were insecure by design.

ABS signs joint development project with SpaceX on recovery droneships

ABS has signed a joint development project (JDP) with SpaceX to review the remotely controlled functions of autonomous rocket recovery droneships used for booster rocket recovery at sea. The rocket recovery droneships are modified to include an expanded deck to increase the size of the landing platform, four thruster engines for propulsion and to hold on station, and blast shielding to protect electrical and engine equipment on deck.

Taulia hires SaaS industry ace Danielle Weinblatt as its CPO

Taulia, a provider of working capital management solutions and part of the SAP Group has announced the hire of Danielle Weinblatt as Chief Product Officer. Danielle will oversee Taulia’s product organization and execute its product vision, strategy, and development roadmap. She will focus on building innovative offerings, expanding product suites to new geographic markets, and will work closely with SAP to provide customers with the best working capital tools needed to thrive in the networked economy. Danielle will report directly to Taulia’s CEO, Cedric Bru, and will work closely with Taulia’s Sales, Marketing and Technology leads.

Walton Global and Rockpoint agree a $300m development joint venture

Walton Global, a real estate investment and land asset management company with $3.6bn under management, announced a joint venture with Rockpoint, a real estate private equity firm based in Boston, to support demand for single-family homes in the form of rental communities across the US. Rockpoint intends to invest up to $300m in equity in Walton’s Build-to-Rent (BTR) line of business that is expected to total up to $1bn in real estate assets.
