Bentley Systems, Inc, the infrastructure engineering software firm, has appointed Robert Malkin as Senior Regional Director of Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) to support the ANZ sales team. He succeeds Fergus Dunn, who is now Senior Director, Business Development.

What does Malkin bring to his new role at Bentley?

Malkin has more than 25 years’ experience managing emerging and innovative businesses throughout Asia Pacific. Most recently, he served as the Vice President of Mural, a global visual collaboration company, helping to secure world-renowned accounts during his tenure.

Malkin’s professional expertise includes roles at Autodesk, supporting North American and global market development for new tech. He relocated to Sydney in 2009 to lead AEC verticals in ANZ, Japan, and Korea, driving enterprise multiyear deals across the region.

What does this mean for Bentley Systems?

Commenting on the appointment of Malkin, Kaushik Chakraborty, Senior Vice President, Regional Executive, Asia Pacific, with Bentley Systems, said, “ANZ is at a pivotal moment where it needs to advance the use of digital technologies and sustainable practices.”

“Bentley Systems is committed to empowering people to design, build, and operate better and more resilient infrastructure through the adoption of our intelligent digital twin solutions. Robert brings a wealth of knowledge, and with his business acumen and proven leadership, he will help our Australia and New Zealand users reach new heights,” Chakraborty added.

Dunn will leverage his knowledge of the market as Bentley works to maximise transportation and utilities sector opportunities in the region. This role builds on Dunn’s expertise, digital twin solutions experience, and Bentley’s commitment to offering pragmatic solutions to users.
