Accor partners with Year13 to attract, engage and retain Gen Z employees

Accor has partnered with Year13, a digital platform for high school leavers, to inspire young Australians to explore the limitless career opportunities within the hospitality industry.

Year13 is Australia’s only purpose-driven digital enterprise dedicated to supporting young people through their transition into employment, connecting with 1.6 million Gen Z’s every year online and more through their digital careers expo, social channels and partnerships.

Activated through a variety of social media, video and editorial content pieces on Year13 channels, this strategic partnership seeks to inspire and support Gen Z to consider meaningful and rewarding careers that fit within their passions.

To attract young Australians and nurture them into the leaders of tomorrow, Accor has redesigned its talent attraction strategy, launching Work Your Way at Accor earlier this month.

The new program allows Accor team members to work around what matters to them most and appeals to Gen Z’s need for security, flexibility and wellbeing with these features.

Same day hire

Accor has a new same-day hire process for frontline roles like food and beverage attendants, receptionists and housekeeping attendants to simplify and fast track the hiring process.

A candidate can walk or phone in, be hired, and start working all on the very same day.

Flexible working for all

Accor believes every role, from housekeeping to management, should have flexibility so it has implemented a new policy to ensure greater flexibility is available to all employees.

Personalized work perks

Accor’s already generous team member benefits have been bolstered with each hotel now offering a selection of additional perks personalized by their location and team preference, including travel allowances, birthday leave and sabbaticals.
