Accenture appoints Scott Hahn and Matt Coates to the leadership team

Accenture announced two significant changes to its ANZ leadership team. Scott Hahn will lead ANZ strategic operations and Matt Coates will succeed Scott as ANZ Technology lead. In their capacities, Scott and Matt will remain part of Accenture’s ANZ Executive Leadership Team.

What does Scott bring to Accenture in his new role?

Commenting on Scott Hahn’s newly created role, Australia New Zealand Market Unit Leader, Peter Burns, said, “In his 30 years at Accenture, Scott has led significant transformation projects for our clients that have delivered on the promise of tech and human ingenuity.”

“He has held regional tech roles and has also been at the helm of some of our largest global client accounts. As Technology lead for ANZ, Scott led the expansion of our service delivery capabilities and has been responsible for several important acquisitions, including Zag.”

“In this new role, Scott will be responsible for leading business operations and partnering with me to execute our local strategy. Our business faces the same challenges as our clients and Scott will focus on driving our own transformation initiatives. He will also continue to be the Accenture ANZ Corporate Citizenship Lead, and he will retain his position as an Accenture Foundation board member, amongst other inclusion and diversity initiatives,” said Mr. Burns.

What does Matt bring to Accenture in his new role?

Taking over from Scott in the role of ANZ Technology Lead is Matt Coates, who has been leading Accenture’s ANZ Cloud First business. Commenting on Matt’s new role, Mr. Burns said, “Matt has boldly led Accenture ANZ’s Cloud First business. He has innovated to spearhead growth, develop our people, and meet intense client demand for cloud migration services.”

“Matt will now lead our Technology practice in ANZ across all areas, including enterprise platform, operational tech, and custom engineering groups. Matt is also a strong advocate for inclusion and diversity and is currently the executive sponsor for the ANZ gender pillar.”
